Mount Rainier and Olympic National Park are also a short drive from the city. Seattle is also a popular departure to Vancouver and Victoria.
Surrounded by farmland, Woodburn, Oregon flourishes in the heart of the Willamette Valley just 35 miles south of Portland. The railroad and vision of Jesse H. Settlemier gave birth to the city of Woodburn in 1889. Woodburn has a rich cultural base because of the large populations of Anglos, Hispanics, Mennonites, Russians and senior citizens who have come to live, work and play here.
