The Galilee is a fertile, mountainous region in northern Israel. It’s known for the Sea of Galilee, where Jesus is said to have walked on water. The city of Tiberias has the tomb of Jewish sage Maimonides and the Church of St. Peter, with art depicting the 4 Gospels. Mount Arbel has ancient cave fortifications. The Mount of Beatitudes is where Jesus allegedly preached the Sermon on the Mount.

Golan (41 km)

We drive north along the coastal road, on route stop at overlook of Megiddo.Drive through the Jordan Valley, and stop at the Baptismal site on the Jordan river. We ascend to the Golan Heights with an overview from Hammat Gader of the triangular border with Syria, Jordan and Israel. We then proceed to the city of Katzrin, the Talmudic capital of the Golan. We visit the ancient sinagogue of Katzrin and ascend Mt. Bental, where we can overlook Kuneitra Valley and stop at the former Syrian fortification.

Golan Heights, ISRAEL

Golan Heights, or simply the Golan or the Syrian Golan, is a region in the Levant.

Mount Bental

This dormant volcano is located in the Golan Heights region tat separates Israel and Syria. The top of the mountain offers exquisite views of the surrounding Heights, the other mountains in the area, and into Syria.

Tiberias, ISRAEL

Tiberias is an Israeli city on the western shore of the Sea of Galilee (called "the Kinneret" in Hebrew), Lower Galilee, Israel. Established in 20 CE, it was named in honour of the emperor Tiberius.


Located along the Jordan River in Northern Israel is this baptism site, an important pilgrimage destination for Christians because, according to tradition, it was the site of Jesus's baptism at the hands of John the Baptist.

Golan & Galillee (158 km)

After touring a local Kibbutz, we will continue north to Banias. After visiting Kalat Nimrod, a Crusader fortress, and the extinct volcano at Birkat Ram, we will end the day at Safed, city of the Kabala, where we will see the synangogues and the artists quarter. Guests will be returned to Jerusalem and Tel Aviv in the evening.
